Author, Trainer, Consultant for SQL Server and .NET
Scott Whigham is an experienced consultant, trainer, and author with more than a decade of hands-on experience working with SQL Server databases, writing and debugging applications using Visual Studio, and performance tuning. Scott designed the architecture (websites, class libraries, and database) for the websites in the LearnItFirst.com Video Training Network using Visual Studio .NET and, most recently, was involved in upgrading the websites and support applications from Visual Studio 2003 to Visual Studio 2005 as well as migrating from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005. Before joining LearnItFirst.com, Scott had been an independent consultant since 1998 focusing on SQL Server and .NET performance tuning and data warehousing doing primarily independent consulting for his consulting company, Maratrane Solutions. Scott has been asked to speak and train at events in the United States and Europe as a trainer and speaker. As an author, Scott has written courses on SQL Server and Microsoft's C# language as well as popular articles for top-selling magazines and the MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network) library. He is also a member of the developer team for YetAnotherForum.net, an open-source forum written in C#.
Scott and his family live in the Dallas, Texas area. Scott loves to "talk tech" but he is also a soccer fanatic, loves to play poker, and enjoys cruising around in his 1969 Ford Mustang Convertible when the Texas weather is not too hot.
